Welcome to the Library

Open every school day from 09.00-16.15 hours.

Students can borrow up to four books each for a period of three weeks.

We have a wide range of fiction and non-fiction books and journals for students and staff members. All the non-fiction is arranged according to the school’s departments, but the list below shows some of the special fiction collections available for browsing.

• Detective stories and crime thrillers
• Horror stories
• Works of science fiction and fantasy
• Animal stories
• Dr Who/Torchwood titles
• Works by African & Caribbean writers and poets
• Books for students’ younger brothers or sisters
• Short stories and Quick Reads.

Students in all years have regular research lessons in the library and we run quizzes, competitions and special events to celebrate key dates. For example we celebrated Roald Dahl Day (author of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”) by giving away free pieces of chocolate to all library users on that day.
