I am proud to welcome you to St Philip Howard Catholic High School.
SPH is a Roman Catholic comprehensive school for students aged 11 to 18. There are 900 students on roll including 150 in the Sixth Form. We are a thriving school with a long and well-established reputation. SPH is perhaps characterised best by its family feel, strong faith community and welcoming atmosphere.
Our aim here is simple. We want to be the best school for your child and we will work tirelessly to achieve this goal.

We have very high expectations of all and believe that students flourish in an environment where there are clear boundaries and excellent standards of discipline.
We aim to help everyone in our school community make the most of their innate ability. Every child deserves the best and that is what we aim to give them. They are supported by a team of staff united in encouraging, guiding, motivating and challenging each student to fulfil their God-given potential.
In September 2011, Ofsted rated the school as 'Good' with outstanding features for Achievement, Attainment and Ethos. As a learning community, we will continually strive to be outstanding in all we do.
