B

David Baker
This is what David says about himself: So what happened to me?  In 1972 I joined Blue Funnel Line as a Midshipman, immediately setting out on a 6 month circumnavigation.  I spent the next 10 years sailing everywhere, finally qualifying as ship master. I had a place in NZ for a few years and lived/worked in Australia, China and S.Africa.  I finally returned to the UK in 1992 to do a surveying course at Plymouth, but essentially still spent a lot of time working abroad - it was real shock to come back to this climate, to which I am still not reconciled.

I eventually met someone in the UK who would put up with my erratic lifestyle, and we have now lived in Nottingham for the past 15 years. I have a PhD from Nottingham in something nasty sounding - engineering
surveying and space geodesy, which is really about satellite positioning, GPS and all that.  Currently I am interested in exotic positioning applications for GPS - we have tried a bob skeleton at La Plagne in France and have plans to do something for F1.  Otherwise I do a lot of web-based stuff and handle course marketing.

John Bone
John is seeking many of his friends from the past. He is currently working as a air bag engineer.

Ian Brown

Ian  would be interested to make contact with anybody from his class; Peter Terzich/ John Janiac/ Steve Butkus/ John Saunders and everybody else.

Richard Burch
I am Richard Burch I left the school in 1973, I married Penny Cattermole (left in 1973).  We have two daughters, one is at Plymouth Uni and the other is studying for her A Levels, (hope she does better than I did!). I spent twenty two years in the Royal Navy where I trained as a photographer.  I was lucky enough to see service all a round the world, I actually took the family with me on my second to last job before leaving the service to the
USA where we lived for three years as I worked for NATO.  On leaving the service in 1996, I went to work for Hampshire Constabulary as a Scenes of Crime photographer, having had enough stress to last a life time, so I
thought, I went back to college to qualify as teacher!!!  Now I work at Highbury College in Cosham, where I teach IT.  To stay sane I still use the camera in anger at week ends for a big south coast studio.   Penny trained at Great
Ormond Street as a Paediatric Nurse and continued her general training at Hammersmith Hospital.  She went on to train as a Midwife at St Mary's hospital. We were married in 1980 and we now live in Fareham.
